Soulfire: Music
Earth
(Soulfire)
William Jasper Burchell
When God made the human race
He put us all in a very special place
We call it earth, but God knows its real name
This little blue marble is always on His mind
and He even came here to live one time
to let us know His interest hadn't changed
I've not seen much past my own backyard
and sometimes life here's pretty hard
and I wonder how it'd all look from outer space
I bet it'd look really tiny and all blend in
to a much bigger picture and it would all spin
and it wouldn't seem like such an uneventful place
Chorus: I wish that I could see it through your eyes
Big and blue and beautiful
from the other side of the sky
I wish that I could see it through your eyes
Oh I wish that I could see it through your eyes
Everybody's lovely from a certain view
and I wish I could find out if that's true
but there's no way I could get to know every soul
Through your eyes I could see them all at once
all their hopes, all their dreams and how they have fun
but sometimes I'm not sure about the people I know
Chorus: I wish that I could see it through your eyes
big and blue and beautiful through the other side of the sky, knowing each person by name and loving what they have inside, Oh I wish that I could see it through your eyes
Seems like she's lost her beauty and she's lost her grace
and we're running out of precious land to replace
who could tell from a million miles away
I know your here amidst it all
and your even here to see a sparrow fall
it just seems like it look better from outer space
